If you have a child under the age of 6 who has been diagnosed with a disability, you may be eligible for up to $12000 of funding form the  Better Start for Children with Disability initiative.

Our clients and Direct Support Workers may, at times, need to visit one of the many hospitals or aged care facilities in the region.

This can be frustrating if you are not familiar with the layout.

You are allowed to decide which approved provider holds the funds from your home care package. The best way to determine who should manage your home care package for you is to meet with them and discuss your needs. Each provider is different, so it will be good to know the following;

  • What services can they provide?
  • How much do they cost?

Compack is a NSW Health funded initiative to provide a range of support services for up to 6 weeks for those who have been discharged from hospital.

Its aim is to get people home sooner and to allow them to recover at home where they are more comfortable. Thus regaining their independence sooner.

Respite care gives someone who cares for someone in need a break from their duties to perform their own daily tasks or to have a rest. Respite can come from friends and family or by the provision of formal services.

Formal services, like those provided by Accuro Home Care can be a for a few hours, a few days or longer. Our services can be either community access or in home.
