Tennille joined Accuro about 12 months ago after completing her Certificate III in Individual Support. Her decision to do this came from a desire to get more involved with caring for others after her interactions with the residents and their families while working at an aged care facility. Being a Direct Support Worker also has the flexibility that suits her family.

Since working with us, she has found her favourite part of the job is being treated like a friend or part of the family by her clients. She really enjoys getting to know them and believes this is key to building a trusting relationship and making the day feel less like work. She has also come to understand, like many in the industry, that empathy and good communication skills are important to performing her role well.

In the near future, Tennille would like to expand her skillset and study disability care.
