Brydie may be young, but during her short time as a Direct Support Worker she has proven herself to be a reliable, professional and honest worker who is loved by her clients.

She chose to be a Support Worker because, like many in the industry, she loves to help others and make a difference in their lives.

"Making someones day just a little bit brighter, whether it be by helping them clean their house, having a chat with them or by taking them places they love and seeing the smile on their faces is priceless. The professional friendships you develop are something you will treasure for life." says Brydie about the services she provides.

She has clients who are an elderly couple in their 90's who are lucky enough to still live at home. They have nicknamed her "Friday", a reference to one of the main characters in the novel Robinson Crusoe, who is known for his competence and loyalty as a personal assistant. They also have trouble remembering her name!

A fellow staff member has taken the time to call and provide some wonderful feedback about Brydie -  "Brydie was a beautiful worker, Accuro is lucky to have her as an employee, Brydie has a good head on her shoulders , she is very professional."

Her tip for anyone looking to join the Home Care industry, "Just do it! Making someones life just that little bit better never feels like work."

In the future, Brydie would like to expand her knowledge and skills on degenerative diseases, high needs care, palliative care and mental health first aid.

Brydie is an asset to our industry and will continue to be so long into the future if she so chooses.
