Connecting Futures is an event held by the Salvation Army's Employment Plus recruitment services to bring pro active employers and enthusiastic job seekers together. It is an opportunity for job seekers to speak to employers from various industries to find out what it is like to work in the industry and what skills and qualifications are needed. 

This also gives the employer an opportunity to recruit and to give the job seeker real insight into an industry and to point them in the right direction, giving them a path to follow.

Accuro Homecare was represented by Rachael and Jarrod at Newcastle, who gave a quick presentation about working life in the Home Care industry and then spent much of the time giving one on one advise to job seekers. Accuro Homecare was the only company in the industry present and received a lot of interest from job seekers, including those who are currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support.
