The home care industry, much like the aged care industry, has quite a high turnover of staff. This can impact clients with continuity of care and increase the costs of staff replacement and training.
Accuro has identified that it needs to promote a culture of appreciation and recognition for its staff in order to combat this issue. One part of the initiative was to roll out Perkbox to all employees who have passed their probation period.
Perkbox is an online platform that provides its users with access to over 120 exclusive perks and discounts. This includes free access to an online fitness portal that includes some great recipes, a free lunch every month, 20% off the bill at many restaurants, cheap cinema tickets, and discounts to many major retailers such as Coles, Woolworths, Caltex and JB Hifi.
Perkbox has been around for some time in the UK and Europe but is relatively new to Australia. It was named the 25th fastest growing company in Europe by the Financial Times and one of the 5 hottest companies in the UK by Tech5.
Accuro has now joined the likes of other companies in Australia such as Domain, Nando's, Deliveroo, Suzuki and Pandora in moving towards or more engaged, better recognised and happier workforce.
