With a sleep over, the Direct Support Worker can provide support before bedtime and in the morning and be available through the night for peace of mind.
Active overnight support involves continuous support throughout the night with the Direct support Worker staying awake and being available the whole time.
Our overnight care is also used for respite so carers can take a break form their duties and refresh.
Some of the activities performed during an overnight stay include:
- Turning in bed and lifting.
- Changing bed linen.
- Personal care.
- Prompting to take medication.
- Preparing breakfast.
- Emergency contact.
- Helping with hydration
