As a Direct Support Worker for Accuro Homecare, you will have access to a comprehensive training and development program that reflects the needs of your skills and client services. We take the time to understand your goals and objectives and provide a training solution that is flexible to your needs. Our trainers have firsthand experience in the industry and are able to share real world experience to assist in developing skills.

Initial Training

Initial Training

Comprehensive assessment and training is provided to recognise your skills and enable a greater support for diverse clients and understanding of the home and community care industry.

This includes:

  • Induction and orientation
  • Service delivery and clients needs
  • Workplace health and safety Emergency procedures
  • Hazard identification and reporting Injury and accident reporting
  • Infection control and standard precautions
  • Manual handling
  • Duty of care
  • Privacy and confidentiality

  • Training services with experienced caregivers
  • Assessments of current training

    Training and development continues to ensure ongoing support and career opportunities for your employment;

  • Training services with experienced caregivers for specific client care
  • 12 Month appraisals
  • Bi-monthly meetings and training
  • Ongoing service delivery development
  • A training program with specific client care modules

    Training Program

    Your training program is provided from registered training organisations that offer specific vocational education, training and assessment services. Trainers are industry specialists with industry experience and qualifications. A certificate of participation is received on completion of each training module, modules can be attended to individually and certain modules listed are recognised as prior learning for accredited certificates within the industry. Our training program consists of the following;

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People

    Accredited Training

    Caregivers are valued for their social abilities, friendliness, empathy, confidence and acquired skills they have achieved throughout their career. At Accuro Homecare we pride ourselves on providing a qualification that reflects and rewards caregivers for their current skills. Traineeships are offered to successful applicants and undertaken by an accredited registered training organisation with trainers from the industry.
